WE HAVE REOPENED
So the big news is that we are delighted and relieved to be back and treating patients face to face again!
For the time being, until the guidance from our professional body and regulators changes, we are only seeing urgent and emergency cases, providing that person is not in the highly vulnerable & shielded group. The definition of urgent and emergency is quite broad, some of the instances this covers are:
• Symptoms that would necessitate a GP visit or other NHS service.
• If you are a primary carer for a vulnerable person and your symptoms could affect your ability to care for that person.
• Symptoms are preventing you from working.
• Progressively worsening symptoms or where with holding care could lead to further deterioration and harm.
In order to protect our staff and patients we have put in a number of strict measures in place, these include social distancing within the common areas of the practice, strict hygiene and PPE measures.
We are telephone triaging all patients prior to new appointments to establish that patients are not in the shielded/ extremely vulnerable group, have no COVID symptoms and classify as being an urgent or emergency cases.
In order to implement the changes necessary and to integrate our staff back in to the practice, we are working reduced hours over the next 2 weeks with the aim to hopefully be back to normal hours by June. In the meantime, we are still on hand remotely to offer advice to patients, the direct email addresses for each Osteopath is on the contact us page on our website.
